In addition to the interviews conducted for the project, AAA has been collecting periodicals, newspaper clippings, photographs, video recordings, exhibition catalogues, invitations, correspondence and other materials that relate to the development of contemporary art in China during the 1980s. It has acquired hundreds of texts published in this decade and digitized the personal archives of renowned artists and curators, resulting in a total of over 70,000 digital documents.

Selected material from the project is included throughout this website; however, we encourage you to search the collection catalogue for a complete list. Search results will be divided into those on the website and those from the complete collection catalogue. Much of the material is publicly accessible, free of charge, from AAA’s physical library in Hong Kong, where we welcome you to come and use our facilities.
